
Argentina received more
than two millions Italians between 1876 and 1925, most of whom were men,
young and strong, and came with the desire of "fare l'America",
that someone had the wisdom to call "Italians second country".
Nor is therefore "La Prensa"(Argentinean Newspaper) to say,
January 4 1881, referring to the European community that Argentina was
receiving at that time, “no one influence to the destiny of the
Republic as the Italians did, by the number that multiplies the energy
of their action and by the splendour of their intelligence” |
